Pamela Gaunt

I lived and worked in London as a theatre and TV performer for many years, eventually founding a women’s theatre company and training as a women’s self defence tutor for a creative response to my concerns about the world.

I retrained as a  psychotherapist (UKCP registered)  before I moved to rural West Wales thirteen years ago.

I am deeply connected to Ancient Welsh Celtic spirituality and mythology and the land which I call Afallon.

I was called to train and self initiate as a Priestess of the Goddess seven years ago.

I am a professional storyteller. I am committed to telling stories which nourish, inspire and empower us. I was in residence at Castell Henlly, Celtic Iron Age Fort in nearby Pembrokeshire… telling ancient Celtic tales round the fire in beautiful thatched roundhouses and I still occasionally perform candlelit evening performances there.  I am available for telling stories of Rhiannon, Ceridwen, Dragons, Nolava, Demeter and Persephone etc. I have told Goddess mythology at the Goddess Conference and will be making a recorded library of Her Stories someday!

I am currently dreaming up a Heart of the Dragon Festival for July 7th/8th 2007 in my local market town of Newcastle Emlyn where the local legend is the last dragon of Wales was killed hundreds of years ago.  The festival is to celebrate all She creates and to birth a new baby Dragon of Peace and Beauty and is linking in with other European and Chinese Dragons.

My ancestry is Welsh and Irish and I have a deep feeling of ‘returning home’ within the hills and valleys and coastline of Carmarthenshire and nearby Pembrokeshire.  My husband and I live with our two children in a  traditional longhouse (renovated with attention to environment and sustainability).  We adjoin a Permaculture Farm Trust, with Education in Nature courses and people living closely with the land on vegetable allotments and tree nurseries etc.

I offer camping retreats in a secluded, tree-filled field (with compost toilets and a barn with solar showers and kitchen facilities), or, nearer the house in our beautiful yurt in summer and our garden cabin all year round..  The retreats can be for individuals, couples, groups and families … individually designed if you want spiritual or therapeutic support.

I have many years of working one to one and facilitating groups and trainings in all areas of mental, emotional and spiritual distress. I also offer mediation for non-violent conflict resolution.

I see all of this work as holding people in the Heart of the Goddess … with the skills and experience from many different therapeutic models.

In my role as Priestess of the Goddess I arrange visits to the beautiful sacred sites of the area (we have Rhiannon’s waterfall, Ceridwen’s cauldron, Dragon Spirit sacred sites and dolphins and seals swimming in the sea which is half an hour’s drive away).
